The thing is…the mainstream public does not seem to understand her satire at all. Her irony and exaggeration isn’t really read. They don’t realize that who she’s become was what she was commenting on. Pretty artistic.
I guess in a way, it’s appropriate that she appropriated the Club Kids because no one understood their satire either. Everyone thought that was who they really were.
